963 Totaled Recall 3

Breaking the wall…

In a way, in this strip, Chris sorta breaks the 4th wall… or perhaps the 2nd wall since this comic is multiple layers that are then flattened to produce a single image file that is compact enough to upload onto the Internet, so that your browsers do not take forever to display the image.  Either way, by Chris looking through the panel and directly addressing the reader (you) he breaks this imaginary wall that separates actor from audience member or in this case comic strip star from reader.

Well I hope you enjoyed this little insight into comic making and hopefully one day your kids will have to read this comic at a higher learning institution… ok we will settle for High School… Middle School? Elementary?  Kindergarten… there ya go.

    Hmm.. Not sure I ever started drinking at 8am before. I mean, there have been plenty of times that I’m STILL drinking at 8… There’s gotta be a time…. Ugh, now you have my wheels turning. And that hurts… Do mimosas count? I don’t think they should because they have a breakfast juice in them. And in that case, I’m sticking to my guns that I’ve never started that early. You alcoholics…

    um…I believe last Hoboken St. Patty’s Day we started at 8 am…or at least very close to 8 am…
